Jomar & Amanda

I met Amanda at The Rustic & Chic Wedding Showcase in October 2021. We were able to chat and get to know each other in a few minutes. At the beginning of our conversation she said that it was going to be a very simple wedding and that she didn’t (and doesn’t) like any of the attention. That was going to be hard, the bride gets all the attention 80% of the time and the groom the 20%.

The wedding was Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pacoima, CA. The lighting at that church is something I never seen at another church, it was beautiful. As a photographer I was very happy at the location. I was fortunate to have my husband, Tomas, second shoot the wedding. He was at the back of the church and I was at the front. They had a little room where the priest told me I could go in and take photos from there, that was something I didn’t expect and it was really awesome to capture them from that side.

The reception was about 25 minutes from the church, at their home, beautiful house. It was set up by The Rustic & Chic team who did an amazing job. The food was Banquetes Economicos, best birria ever! dj, bar, food was from Rustic & Chic vendors.

We photograph for 5 hours total, enough time for small, intimate wedding in the city of Pacoima.
